Funding information

I should probably inform you guys about plans and whatnot for funding for this trip and all. So. I guess here goes trying to explain and figure this out. So. Christene Huber informed me that each short-term missionary that stays at the church usually spends around $1000 per month to be involved in the ministry. The costs include housing (a level of the church is full of apartments rented out to the missionaries), utilities, transportation in Japan (most of it will be on their train system, which will be exciting), and food (actually a lot of the ministries I will be doing include outreach to youth and young folks, especially out in the open areas and restaurants. so that will be paying for a lot of that, too). So. $1000 a month to stay, folks. I personally wish there was a way to spend less, but Japan is expensive, sooo. haha   

 After figuring that out, I've been checking airplane tickets these past 6-8 months on and off, and it is roughly...around $1400-$1800 there and back.   My parents are covering my first month's stay, and I have enough to cover the plane tickets. So, my goal is to raise another thousand dollars by the middle of May this year. 90 days left, folks.   But, just in case I am unable to raise enough for however long I planned, I actually made a list to show how long I'm gone and when I leave, depending on how much I can earn:

July 2nd-August 15th. 

-$1,500 for plane tickets

-$1,500 to stay 1 1/2 months 

$3,500 

June 20th-August 20th 

-$1,500 for plane tickets

-$2,000 to stay for 2 months 

$5,000

June 4th-August 20th 

-$1,500 for plane tickets

-$3,500 for a little over 3 months 

There are SO many different math problems and dates and things to look into when planning this. So till I find out how much I have earned total, I won't know for sure when I can go and how long it'll be. :/ 

But. Yeah. That's a start at least. Right now I've been doing modeling/photography/babysitting and various other jobs for the money I have earned so far. I'm going to be sending out the letter real soon, so I'm praying that God will provide for this trip. Since I am not going through an organization or anything like that, I can't do the tax-deductible thing at the moment. If you know of any way to make that possible, PLEASE let me know!
